Guiding Souls: The Pastoral Care of Bishop James Bukomeko of Mityana Diocese

James Bukomeko, who was born on 1 November 1968 in Luweero district become the fifth Bishop of Mityana diocese since 2021. Bukomeko was educated at Uganda Christian University, and was ordained in 1996. He has served at various parishes and communities in the church of Uganda. these includ Kireka, Namasuba, Kansanga, Namirembe, Maganjo, and Nansana.
As the Bishop of Mityana, Bishop James Bukomeko plays a central role in overseeing the spiritual and administrative affairs of the diocese. His dedication to the Christian faith and his pastoral care skills have made him a beloved figure among the clergy and congregations he serves.
Throughout his career, Bishop Bukomeko’s leadership qualities and spiritual guidance have been evident, contributing significantly to the growth and development of the Anglican Church in the region.
