Background;
By the time Mityana diocese was inagurated, we had 20 primary schools, 2 secondary schools that is Mityana secondary school and Bukomero secondary school and Namutamba Primary Teachers College. Currently we have 171 government aided primary schools, 185 secondary schools and Bishop Lutaaya Theological school.

Achivements;
With support from UNICEF, we have established Early Childhood Development Centres.
There are 9 new secondary schools started in the five districts i.e St.Mark Kayebe, Kambugu secondary school, Kamuli secondary school, Kalongo scondary school, St.James Bulagwe secondary school, St.Francis Nzoo secondary school, Kikonda secondary school and St.Phillips Busunju secondary school.
Expectations;
We expect to start and establish a diocesan private seconday school in the name of St.John.
We hope that the secondary schools we started will be given codes and grant aided by government.
